As we were refining the details of our game. We decided to go with a futuristic style, and futuristic weapons.

These are the main references I used as I started creating the weapons.




I went with a fairly basic weapon design for my initial sketches and later modeling.

It was a simple sleek, futuristic look for the base weapon.
​
It was all made with a cube that was stretched, with faces that were extruded. The base color was a grey Lambert, and then I proceed to add the colorful Blinn highlights.


We wanted to be able to add to the gun's abilities, like a shotgun blast or missile launcher. I made several gun attachments to accommodate this.
However, in the end we kept the enhanced abilities, but left out the attachments.
